Canterbury Clubhouse, Pool Rules & Access Key Card Agreement


All residences must sign the clubhouse, pool rues & keycard agreement before accessing the pool area

Pool Hours


7 Days a week — Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Weekend

Hours 9 AM – 9 PM

On occasion the pool may have to be closed for maintenance, health and/or safety issues without notice. Information about closing and re-opening will be posted at the pool.

Canterbury Pool Rules: 

  • NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK
  • Pool use is for Canterbury residents and their escorted guests. DO NOT LET ANYONE IN other than family members or invited guests.
  • The doors to the clubhouse are to remain closed and locked at all times and are not to be propped open or left unsecured.
  • NO private pool parties.
  • NO DIVING allowed.
  • NO smoking or vaping anywhere inside the clubhouse or fenced pool area.
  • Running or rough play are prohibited inside the clubhouse or fenced pool area.
  • NO skateboards, skates, or rollerblades inside the clubhouse or fenced pool area.
  • Persons with open wounds, bandages, or any symptoms of communicable diseases are prohibited from entering the pool.
  • NO diapers in the pool. Children must wear undergarments with elastic around the legs and torso or pull-ups specifically for use in water.
  • NO cut off shorts or other clothing items not designed for use in pools.
  • Parents or accompanying adults are responsible for cleaning up after their children and/or guests.
  • NO glass or weapons of any kind are allowed in the pool area.
  • An adult must accompany children 6 years and younger in the pool. All other children under 16 of age must be supervised by an adult responsible for their conduct and safety.
  • Food and drinks are not permitted within caping area of pool border or in the pool.
  • NO animals in the fenced area of the pool.
  • NO nudity, skinny dipping, or topless swimming/sunbathing.
  • Be considerate — no excessively loud our otherwise obnoxious activities or music.
  • Clean up after yourself and throw all trash away properly.
  • Person(s) responsible for damage to HOA property will assume responsibility for repairs and/or replacement of such property.
  • Be considerate of the high volume of people in the pool and limit the size of flotation devices. No floats larger than 32 inches in diameter or rafts longer than 6 feet are permitted in the pool when the pool capacity is at 10 or greater.
  • The pool must be closed and evacuated at any sign of lightning.

Pool Privileges / Access Key Card Policies 

If your access key card is lost, stolen, damaged or not working, please email the HOA immediately so we can deactivate your card. Please provide your name, address and contact number and the Security Committee will contact you as soon as possible regarding this issue.

  • One (1) access key card will be issued free of charge to each registered homeowner in the Canterbury Addition.
  • If a key card is lost, stolen, or damaged, a replacement card must be obtained for a $30.00 non-refundable fee. 
  • Do not submerge key card in water, leave in direct sunlight, or expose to excessive heat.
  • All residents must be current on HOA dues by March 31st of each year and without a violation of the covenants or their key card will be deactivated and will only be reactivated when the HOA dues or the violation has been satisfied.
  • Please do not let anyone use your key card that doesn’t reside in your house.
  • You are responsible for any damages that occur to the property by yourself, a family member, or guest you invited.
  • All residents must sign and return page 3 of the agreement, show proper ID and must match the name listed as the homeowner (or verified renter) before key card can be picked up. 
  • Homeowners are responsible for the actions of their renting tenants and guests. Privileges and access key cards can be revoked by the Canterbury Board at any time.

 Guest Policies 

  • The clubhouse and pool areas are for the residents’ use and enjoyment. Residents should use discretion when inviting a guest to use the pool.
  • Guests will only be allowed pool usage when accompanied by a resident and must abide by the rules.
  • Homeowner/Residents are responsible for the actions of their guests. Please follow all rules as access cards can be revoked at any time for rule violations.

Clubhouse Policies 

  • The doors to the clubhouse are to remain closed and locked at all times and are not to be propped open or left unsecured.
  • Please respect the facility and clean up after yourself.
  • If you are found in violation, you will be responsible for damages incurred.

The clubhouse will not be available for private rental during pool season. (subject to change due to management company contract).
